About this guide

Who keeps Pickering vs Ajax

Checked October 7, 2026

By the Face-off desk

Pickering vs Ajax also covers Port Perry, Toronto and Milton, and its editorial team, the Face-off desk, works without a personal byline. The guide puts Pickering Casino Resort next to Casino Ajax because the two stand 5.1 km apart yet feel very different once inside.

The desk and the money

The Face-off desk runs this guide and signs its work as a group, with no personal names attached. It has no tie to either casino, to Great Canadian or to OLG.

This site is a guide and not a casino. It accepts no wagers and holds no player accounts. Paid links sit on the home page only, each one marked Ad, and every one points to the same online casino partner. That partner may change, and the links are meant for players physically located in Ontario. The site earns a commission; venues, transit agencies, OLG, the province and help services never pay it.

How facts are checked

The desk checks each venue's hours, address and phone number on the venue's own pages and against official sources. Each fact is stored with its source page, a short quote and the date it was read. Every check is dated. Facts on this page were checked on October 7, 2026.

The AGCO race date calendars supply race dates. Metrolinx supplies GO station facts, while bus routes come from the transit agencies' own pages and open data. When official pages disagree on a figure, the desk drops it instead of averaging. Holiday hours are left off the whole site, so readers should check each venue's own site before a holiday visit. Any temporary change carries a temporary label and a date.

About the pictures

Three casino pages carry free-licence photographs, each credited beneath it. The Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto photo is by Canmenwalker, under CC BY 4.0. Alan Spencer made the Casino Ajax and Elements Casino Mohawk photos, under CC BY 2.0.

All the remaining pictures came out of image software rather than a camera. They include the resort at night, the Great Blue Heron guest room and the lakeside boardwalk and marina. Some were modelled on photographs of real places. Any of them could pass for a photograph, yet not one is. Everyone in them is invented, and no casino served as a location for any of them.

Writing to the desk

Notes for the guide go to [email protected]. Write there to fix an error, to flag something that has moved, or to ask how the comparison is put together. The mailbox is the guide's own and reaches no casino. For a casino's own matters, phone that casino directly.
